About this tool
WebP is efficient, but not everything accepts it yet. Older photo apps, some printing services, document templates and plenty of upload forms still only take JPG. Converting a WebP to JPG is the quickest way past that, and the file usually stays a sensible size.
JPG has no transparency. If your WebP has a transparent background — a logo or product cut-out, for example — those areas are filled with the background colour you pick. White suits most documents; match your page colour if it is going on a dark design.
Both formats are lossy, so a conversion re-compresses the image. At 90% quality the change is invisible on photographs; go lower only when file size really matters.

What happens to a transparent background?
When a WebP is converted to JPG, transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose, white by default, because JPG cannot store transparency. Partly transparent edges are blended smoothly into that colour.
Will I lose quality?
Yes, converting WebP to JPG loses a little quality, because the image is compressed again as JPG. At the default 90% it is not visible on photographs. Text and sharp graphics are better converted to PNG instead.
Can I convert JPG to WebP?
